Marques de Caceres Rioja Rose has a fresh floral scent and tastes of strawberries with a crisp acidic finish. A perfect picnic wine for warm weather (if we ever get any). This wine has everything you want in a rose — dry with just a hint of sweetness — and is a steal at this price. Try one and you’ll come back to pick up a case — it’s that good. (more…)

The deep brown color and roasty/nutty aroma tell me this is a brown ale. First taste and light mouthfeel say Saison! The taste combines saison yeast spice with subdued coffee and cocoa of a dark ale. Cranberry subtly presents itself as the beer warms up. One-of-a-kind hybrid of a saison and brown ale with a hint of fruit as a kicker.
Gunner’s Daughter pours dark brown with an ample light brown head. Huge aroma of peanut butter with some dark chocolate as well. There is a big, rich dark mouthfeel. Tastes like a homemade peanut butter cup. There’s tons of flavor squeezed into a low ABV beer.
Allagash Cuvee d’Industrial has a dark golden to amber appearance. The aroma gives off mild malt and is vinous but let’s you know this is a sour! (7 out of 10 on the sour scale.) The sweetness may come from the red wine and Sauterne barrels included in the 24 barrel blend. There is a hint of Brett funk on the nose. Alternating tart/sour and sweet/vinous notes help make d’Industrial on of Allagash’s best sours.
Cuckoo for Coconuts is a dark brown porter, has a fantastic aroma of vanilla, coconut and dark chocolate. The taste of coconut is not prominent but is shared with sweet and dark chocolate, vanilla, graham cracker and a hint of coffee. Cuckoo for Coconuts is crazy-delicious and very drinkable.
