Thirsty Botanist pours a dark gold color with a clean white head and moderate haze. Aroma combines citrus and tropical balanced by light piney bitterness. Thirsty Botanist tastes like pineapple and mango juiciness upfront with a lingering piney-grapefruit through the pint. One of Maine’s go-to IPA’s — smooth and delicious.
Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 9.1
Just a heads up: you can smell Bruichladdich Octomore from across the room! The nose has plenty of earthy peat and smoked oak with hints of vanilla and toffee on the tail end. The flavor is surprisingly soft but has a distinct nutty brownie taste to it. The finish is very peaty with a hint of salt. This bottle is an Islay lover’s dream.
